An introductory course is the best way to learn if you are interested in diving, but don't know where to start. Also known as a buceo (or baptism in water), this course can be a great option for beginners or those who don't have much time. While you can dive up to 12m, you will need a certified instructor to complete the course. If you decide to take any additional classes, you can upgrade to the next level, such as a Rescue or Advanced open water certification.
PADI Scuba Diver
There are several PADI Scuba Diver courses. The introductory course can be taken by those just starting out and they can then move up to the next level after they have reached certain competency levels. The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of 14 modules, which are broken into three sections. Although the course is usually three days long, you can upgrade it in as little as one and a half days. This is the most popular course in the world and will allow you to dive to 18 meters.

Open water diving for advanced divers
Open water divers who have completed an Open Water Diver Course, and obtained an AOW certificate are called advanced open water divers. AOW divers are able to dive at deeper depths than the recommended 60 feet. They can also improve their buoyancy and air consumption. Advanced open water divers may also be able to perform specialty dives, such as wreck diving. There are several levels to AOW certifications. These levels have different requirements. Rescue diver
There are three levels of Rescue Diver certification: technical, recreational and leader. International Standards Organisation (ISO), sets the standards for these levels. These levels are based on BS EN 140433-2:2004 and ISO 24801-1-2004. Instructors at level one are qualified to teach recreational divers, assess their knowledge and plan and lead dives. They can also teach rescue techniques and guide other divers in open water.
Cave-1 class
An instructor must have minimum 40 hours of experience and academic instruction to be certified as a cave diver. Course content includes cave diving techniques and skills, standard procedures and emergency procedures, and information on the hazards and challenges of the environment. During the cave course, students are assessed on their skills through two sections: academics as well as water-based exercises. The students must pass a quiz, take an exam, and prove their skill and proficiency. Students will need to read and complete a cave diving manual.

Master Scuba Diver
Master Scuba Diver certification can be obtained in five levels. Open Water is the first level. It is where you learn to dive, manage your gear, and teach others. The second level includes electives, which you can choose. As a Master Scuba Diver, you can choose to dive with others as long as they are certified as well. You also get a 10% discount on all five courses if you reach this level.
