You can earn the SSI Mermaid certificate online. You can do it online, so you can work whenever and wherever you like. There are two parts of the certification. The practical portion is online and the other part is online. You can complete the online portion on a computer or laptop, or you can use your smartphone to take the practical part. The SSI App is available for both iOS and Android devices.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT is a PADI Mermaid Instructor and a certified SSI Instructor Trainer. At just 15 years old, she began her diving career. She has earned several Specialty Instructor Ratings. She is passionate about the water and loves to get back to basics in her open water classes. JODY holds a Technical Rescue Instructor Training certification.
Michelle Forsbrey
A keen surfer and swimmer, Michelle Forsbrey is passionate about the water and loves the sea. For her rehabilitation, her love of the beach and ocean inspired her to buy a Mermaid Tail. The mermaid-tail drew attention from both children and adults when she was seen in the local hotel swimming pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
You've reached the right place, whether you have always wanted to be a Mermaid or just curious about the process. SSI offers a Try Mermaid experience, which allows you to swim under water with mermaid fins. This introductory course is perfect for beginners. It will teach swimming underwater safely, using mermaid tail fins, holding your breath underwater, and more. After completing your Try Mermaid course, you'll receive $15 towards your full certification.
Rusty
Rusty was born and raised in New Orleans. It is the largest US swamp, covering 22 municipalities. Living in the swamp has given him a deep appreciation for the unique cajun culture. In addition to diving, Rusty enjoys cycling, underwater photography, and spending time with his family.
Niki
Niki Dawson is a successful female entrepreneur, a professional scuba instructor and a creative wedding planner. She enjoys diving in different parts of the globe. Her favorite dive spots include Micronesia, Australia, the Caribbean, Africa, and the Western Pacific. Niki loves to travel the world, and she does enjoy diving.
Evi
Evi is an instructor and performer in mermaid swimming. Her first mermaid school opened in March 2018 and she has already trained hundreds of guppies to swim with her tail. Evi is a certified mermaid instructor and has participated in the World Mermaid Championship together with Naomi. Her goal is for children to enjoy the water and be safe around reefs.
