Yongala
Divers can choose from several options to dive the SS Yongala. Liveaboards leave from Townsville, which is just 3 hours away by fast boat. Advanced certified divers should be able to dive these waters, which is about 30m deep. Spend a bit more money to take a day tour and dive the SS Yongala. The trip takes around three hours and includes two tank.
Punta Vicente Roca
Punta Vicente Rocca is a unique spot for scuba diving. It is only 200 km from the nearest island. There are several types of sea creatures that can be seen on a dive here, including the Galapagos marine iguana, red-lipped batfish, and schooling black-striped salema.
