Which Certifications Are Right for You?

If you are interested learning to dive, or if you want to become a dive instructor, there are certifications offered through SSI (PADI), Koox Dive Masters, eLearning, and SSI. We will be highlighting some of the most popular courses offered by these agencies. Start by enrolling in a PADI open-water diving course. It's common to find online training options such as eLearning. What program is the best?

SSI

You can get your scuba certification by taking the SSI Open Water Diver course. This course is taught in small groups so that you receive individualized attention and can learn the complex scuba diving skills you'll need. You'll learn how you can identify coral reef fish species, how to breathe underwater and perform safety checks.

PADI

PADI Open Water diving is a course that gives you the ability to become a certified diver. During this course, you will learn how to swim and handle a variety of common scuba diving emergencies. This exam will have 50 multiple-choice questions. You can take it before or after you have completed confined water training. PADI Open Water Diver certification exam allows you to test your knowledge and skills in the water. A minimum of 75% passing rate is required for the PADI Open Water Diver exam.

Koox Dive Masters

With a Koox Dive Master, you can learn to dive in clear water, cenotes, and even calm beaches. Once you've mastered basic scuba skills, it's possible to dive in the ocean with corals and marine life. Koox Dive Masters are certified instructors who can teach you how to dive in various types of water. Koox offers many confined water courses in addition to open-water diving.


eLearning

PADI eLearning is an online learning system that allows people to take several PADI certification courses. Students who excel in math and science, but are not comfortable learning via video, can use PADI eLearning. These people may find the classroom approach more suitable. Many people prefer to take their courses with an instructor-led approach. PADI eLearning makes it easier and faster to achieve your desired certifications.

Cost

Prices for scuba diving vary by location, but they generally run between $30 and $150. Although scuba diving may be affordable, there are some additional items that will need to purchased. Requirements
