There are many dive sites to choose from, including Shark Reef Marine Reserve in the Philippines and the coral reefs off Indonesia. These sites are famous for their mantas, bizarre muck diving animals, and other spectacular sights. These places will leave you in awe.
Sipadan
Scuba divers can't resist the lure of the reefs of Sipadan, a popular spot in the Philippines. This area is situated in the middle a coral triangle making it one the most biodiverse marine environments worldwide. You will see turtles, sharks and lionfish in this area. Sipadan's underwater world is easy to see with visibility levels ranging between 15 and 40 metres.

Shark Reef Marine Reserve
Some of the most spectacular dives can be experienced in the shark-rich waters at the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. You will find many different species of fish, coral and other marine life when you visit the marine reserve. It is an unforgettable experience. There are more than 5,000 species of seaweed and mollusks, and 125 shark types. Among these diverse species of fish and corals, the heart-shaped reef formation, called Heart Reef, is an incredible site to experience. This impressive structure is 17 m wide and can be seen from the air.
Half Moon Caye Wall
This spectacular dive site is home to many types of marine life. Recent research has revealed that the wall is home to sharks who recently made it their home. Keep an eye out for brain coral and sea fans while you are on the wall. You may even spot a turtle or two. You might be feeling more adventurous and want to explore underwater tunnels between coral outcrops.
Yongala
You have many options when it comes to diving on the SS Yongala. Townsville, just three hours away by fastboat, is the starting point for liveaboards. The dives here are about 30m deep and are best suited for Advanced certified divers. You can take a day trip to dive the SS Yongala if you have the funds. It takes approximately three hours and includes two tanks.
Punta Vicente Roca
Punta Victoria Roca is an exceptional spot to dive because it is just 200 kilometers from the closest island. You can see many sea creatures here including the Galapagos Marine Iguana, red-lipped Batfish and schooling blackstriped Salema. Photographers also have the opportunity to see the Galapagos flightless cormorants, which are endemic in this area.

Bonaire
Bonaire's divers will be amazed at the beauty and diversity of its diving sites. The island's leeward side is home to some outstanding dive sites. With clear water and lots of schooling fish, this site is a favorite among divers and snorkellers. Combined with the famous Karpata dive site, this site offers incredible drop-offs and massive coral formations.
